MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Mr. O P Goel

It gave me great sense of satisfaction and pleasure to see and share the progress of the Forum during the last three years under the Chairmanship of Mr. Pradeep Chaturvedi.

Galloping Indian Economy at a growth rate of +8% and highly competitive times being faced by Indian Inc. due to globalisation, have made it imperative for us to pay more attention towards Safety and Quality in all segments of business.

Since, its inception in the year 2003, the Forum has made considerable progress in different directions. Three Safety Conventions organised by the Forum during these made had huge impact in the business community of India.

In the coming period, we would like to initiate action for setting up a Safety Training Institute so as to enrich the quality of education required at the bottom of organisational pyramid and also to build competence of Safety professionals to bear more accountability. Also, more emphasis will be laid to ensure networking between various stake holders and to transfer the knowledge in the field.

The compliance of Quality Standards has now become ineviatble due to stringent practices being adopted by the Developed Countries and rapid globalisation of Economics. The unrestricted transfer of Products/Services have made it imperative for us to have more focussed approach towards Quality of Product.
